PONT-AVEN

Jack tells me goodbye and the importance of stretching between my 6 hour flight and my 7 hour bus ride and I'm off to France!

MY ROOM! the top one is the night we arrived, and then the morning after I slept for 10 hours in this bed but could've easily kept going. I chose this room because of the little stuffed dog (above my lamp) pinned to the wall with a tack.  The window and the mint green striped wallpaper and floral bedspread and boat paintings are so pretty too.

most adorable little sailboat curtains, in our upstairs living room.

This is my little house!!!!!!!! On the Impasse de Mimosas. Our family is so cute, Josee and Daniel are our parents, they made us cous cous and bacon wrapped scallops and a pear tart! Supposedly a ghost has been seen in this yard before.

When I walk to skoolz I go down this road, The Impasse de Cypress, left down a road past a yard full of dogs, and then down a hill to the school.

The last leg of my walk to school! Cute little path past a little reflection pool, then down some stairs to the main road.

This is another view from the bridge over the river, we crossed over to get to the supermarket to buy clementines. We have our own little drawers and refrigerator space in our petit student lounge.

This is my studio!!!!!!!!! It has the most gorgeous gorgeous light. It's bigger than it looks in this picture, it's pretty deep, I look out over the river and onto a couple of old houses and mills.

These are a few of the girls, the blonde one in the back ground is the first I met, Jenna, both of us struggling through the Paris airport dragging two fifty pound bags each.

This is the view from the little bridge crossing over the river that runs through the town. The town is so cute, I'll take more pictures on a sunnier day. We tour the different towns nearby this weekend and hopefully I can get a bike somehow, it's only an hour and a half bike ride to the ocean, and I'd love to go. We go to Madrid and Barcelona in two weeks. We already have a bunch of assignments but classes don't even start until Wednesday. More later

Sarah,

I love reading your posts and looking at the pictures. Your are the best artist, and you are literally following in the footsteps (at least some of them) of Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin! Keep writing and start painting.

Love,

Dad
